This photo is obviously short and wide. The print I framed for a gallery show was 8.25 by 24 inches. I mention this to prevent disappointment. If you order a 16x20 you will get a full width and much greater vertical. I think the cropped version you see here has more impact, but that's just opinion.

If you were a fish living in this lake ( there are not anyfish) this is what you would see through the water(not much of that either). This view is brought to you partly by the water department of a very large municipality which has siphoned off much of the water before it even arrives at Mono lake .

This is a view from the south end of the lake. North of this area on the way to the town of Lee Vining , there is a left turn to Yosemite and you will see a Mobil station. This is also a convenience store with a Great restaurant menu. It was called the "Whoa Nellie Deli" and had the best food for miles, many miles . It should still be there with food like that .

Yes I know the horizon is slightly tilted but this is the only image I have like this. I framed mine and tilted it to be level. This means a slightly smaller window in the mat. You can avoid this problem by not buying this picture.

If you have read the story and then, seen this acrobatic gull swoop and soar while all his brethren stayed on the water, you might wonder about that bird again.

Both these and the previous flowers gave nice color to an otherwise drab boulder filled hillside . I imagine that if I was there a week or so earlier, there might have been more flowering species.
